Q: I’ve never gotten a tattoo before. What should I expect?
A: For your first tattoo, expect to discuss the design and placement with your artist. The artist will prepare the area by cleaning your skin and applying a stencil. The tattooing process varies depending on the design’s complexity and size, but your artist will guide you through each step. Expect some discomfort, but many first-timers find it manageable!

Q: How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?
A: Make sure you’re well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten beforehand. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications 24 hours before your appointment. Wear comfortable clothing that gives easy access to the area where you’re getting tattooed.

Q: How do I care for my tattoo afterward?
A: Aftercare is crucial for the healing process. Your artist will give you specific instructions, but generally, you’ll need to keep the area clean, moisturized, and avoid sun exposure, swimming, and picking at the healing skin.

Q:How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?
A: Healing times vary by individual and the size of the tattoo, but most tattoos take about 2-3 weeks to heal on the surface. Deeper layers of the skin may take up to a few months to fully heal. Proper aftercare ensures the best results.
Q: Is it possible to bring a guest with me to my tattoo appointment?

A: We kindly request that you limit the number of additional individuals in the studio to one at a time out of consideration for other clients. However, you may contact your artist directly to inquire about any exceptions for special circumstances.

Q: Do you use vegan-friendly products?

A: Yes, we take pride in offering vegan-friendly products for our tattoos. This includes using inks that are free from animal-derived ingredients, as well as vegan-friendly aftercare products. Many traditional tattoo inks contain ingredients like glycerin from animal fat, bone char, or shellac, but we use alternatives that are cruelty-free without compromising the quality of your tattoo.

Q: What can I bring the day of my tattoo appointment?

A: Feel free to bring your headphones, a tablet, a book, a magazine, a bottle of water or any other non-alcoholic beverage with a lid, and light snacks to your tattoo appointment.

Q: What can I do in preparation for my tattoo appointment?

A: To ensure the best experience and results from your tattoo session, here are a few important steps you should take in preparation:

-
Get Plenty of Rest: Make sure you're well-rested before your appointment. Getting enough sleep will help your body handle the physical stress of the tattoo process, making it easier to sit still and tolerate the discomfort.
-
Eat a Healthy Meal: Have a balanced meal before your session to keep your energy levels up. Low blood sugar can increase your sensitivity to pain, so make sure to eat something filling, preferably with proteins and complex carbs.
-
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water the day before and on the day of your appointment. Hydrated skin is easier to work with, and staying hydrated helps your body recover faster.
-
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Stay away from alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment, as it can thin your blood and lead to excessive bleeding. Similarly, limit your caffeine intake as it can increase anxiety and make you more jittery.
-
Wear Comfortable Clothing: Dress in loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area where you’ll be getting tattooed. If the tattoo is on your arm or leg, wear something that can be easily rolled up or moved aside without causing discomfort.
-
Bring Entertainment: If your session is long, consider bringing something to keep you occupied, like a book, music, or podcasts. Staying entertained can make the time pass more quickly and keep you relaxed.
-
Prepare Your Skin: Make sure your skin is in good condition. Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning, or shaving the area to be tattooed. Your artist will clean and prepare the area during your appointment.
-
Avoid Blood-Thinning Medications: If possible, avoid taking blood-thinning medications like aspirin before your session (unless prescribed by a doctor). These can increase bleeding during the tattoo process.
-
Arrive on Time: Punctuality is important. Arriving on time allows you and the artist to review the design, finalize details, and ensure everything is ready for the session.
